Human crisis, war and hope.

Why in the 21st century with advanced technology and artificial intelligence, are we witnessing death and destruction? And why in an interconnected world the reaction from the supposed leaders is denial of the most fundamental human rights? ; ¿are Corporations, governments and the media controling the minds of the people?. ¿is the world asleep? Or are it the people who sleep? It is as if we have become hooked on a machine that does not stop; as if we had become part of a mechanism that prevents us from seeing and feeling what is right there showing us the cry of the civilians and women and children. Why, with all these advances that I mentioned at the beginning, technology, artificial intelligence and this supposed Progress, we still experience destruction and death of thousands of innocent civilians, ¿are we not able to react as humanity? Of course many people will say: we have our own issues and problems, and yes, it is true, but what surprises and causes terror is the reaction to this, the response. the lack of unity in our humanity to respond in unity. When seeing on social networks the perception and identification of many people with ideologies, beliefs, etc. But it’s all very mental; belief systems… Something more basic, more human, is missing. And this very mental culture, so much of mental constructs, of deep-rooted beliefs, and of defense of those beliefs makes us lose that elemental, human and conscious part; many only see abstract concepts, only see figures and talk about figures; That’s what’s worrying. The great leaders we have had in history say that when we fall into these abstractions and only see figures, that is when humanity begins to lose itself.

And we are only mental because we need to open those other multidimensional parts that we humans have, our conscience, our heart. What ancient wisdom has taught us. And that many people have closed their conscience, their hearts. That part has been closed in all of us, because we all carry experiences of pain and sadness, which make us close our hearts. But we must reopen it. Just as Jack Cornfield teaches when he says: you must not look away, nor let events poison your heart, you must not look away, even if you see suffering, since, if you can see the suffering with Compassion then you will be above that pain. Since the human heart has great power to face suffering. Compassion is a quality that makes us human and strong. Compassion is seeing pain and suffering and wanting to alleviate it, contributing with our grain of sand. And what is compassion based on? In the interconnection. We are interconnected, like a human net. We are interconnected in various ways; people, humans, cultures; Just look at what you have on your table when you eat and you will see the interconnection. Everything has come from a different place; Different people have participated, even from other parts, from other places; That comes to your table, there is an energy there, a work of those people that comes to you. That is why we are deeply interconnected. Thich Nath Han, the Zen master, talks about InteBeing; And that is the foundation of our relationships, our connection as people, as cultures, as human beings. What we are asking ourselves now is where are we as humanity?

Now looking at some historical examples of ethics and humanity in conflicts and wars, I want to mention some examples. One is Alexander the Great; the other is Napoleon Bonaparte; We have opinions for and against, like everything in history. But notice that Alexander the Great, when the siege of a Greek city was made, when it was attacked and blocked, expressly asked that the house of the poet Pindar be respected and also the house of other artists and innocent people, that they not be attacked. It is also known that Napoleon Bonaparte had manifestations of ethics, morality, and humanity with certain populations, with certain places, certain people. The question is whether that is now present in the attacks we see now. Has there been compassion and mercy towards thousands of trapped innocent civilians? Is there some humanity in the current leaders? And what role does technology play? Has it dehumanized us? Now that you can kill people with Drones.

Now, going back to basics, what we are talking about is our qualities, which make us human. The interconnectedness, the compassion; elemental things that give us humanity. Why when someone or a group of people suffers, empathy, compassion, those human qualities arise; It is a trait of us. In the current situation of destruction, why do people who are nearby, countries that are nearby not react in a more basic, human way. In their speeches they say a lot but in themselves us acts nothing; They do not open their doors; its borders, and why the instinct to protect is not there; the biological basis of protecting life, especially those who are mercilessly slaughtered. Has the power of money murdered conscience? Did the power of the lobby win over humanity? When we see photographs on social networks, we see the elite of those countries, of those societies, or the supposed elite sharing luxurious banquets with Instagram models, without worrying about what happens very close to them. When we get used to that, our conscience falls asleep. And as the wise teach: the systematic practice of vices collapses intelligence. There has been a murder of human qualities, intelligence, consciousness, and spirit have collapsed.

Now, these times are times for citizens, for people, for humanity. It is no longer a matter of governments, economic experts, or religions. It is human; what is in danger is our humanity. It is a total crisis of humanity, will it be a destruction of our human qualities? … interconnection, empathy, intelligence, wisdom, freedom….
And finally I would like to mention spirituality or consciousness. If the messages of the great avatars who have walked this earth are true, then we must have confidence. Trust and Hope Despite what we are witnessing in this era, in this time, no matter how dark they may seem, a time of awakening must come, awakening to the conscience and action of humanity. And if we feel that human consciousness exists, then that consciousness is above anguish, it is above fear, it is above despair. Let’s have confidence. We must remember what we are, and we must recover humanity as soon as possible; The sooner the better, otherwise the future that is coming will be terrible and catastrophic. ¿Por qué en el siglo XXI, con tecnología avanzada e inteligencia artificial, estamos siendo testigos de muerte y destrucción? ¿Y por qué en un mundo interconectado la reacción de los supuestos líderes es la negación de los derechos humanos más fundamentales?; ¿ las corporaciones, los gobiernos y los medios controlan la mente de las personas?. ¿Está el mundo dormido? ¿O son las personas que duermen?;- Es como si nos hubiésemos enganchado a una máquina que no se detiene; como si nos hubiésemos convertido en parte de un mecanismo que nos impide ver y sentir lo que está ahí, mostrándonos el grito de los civiles y de las mujeres y los niños. Por qué con todos estos avances que mencioné al principio, la tecnología, la inteligencia artificial y este supuesto progreso, aún vivimos la destrucción y muerte de miles de civiles, inocentes, ¿no somos capaces de reaccionar como humanidad? Por supuesto mucha gente dirá: tenemos nuestros propios asuntos y problemas, y sí, es cierto, pero lo que sorprende y causa terror es la reacción ante esto, la respuesta. La falta de unidad en nuestra humanidad para responder. Al ver en las redes sociales la percepción e identificación de muchas personas con ideologías, creencias, etc. Se ve que es muy mental. Todo es muy mental; sistemas de creencias… Falta algo más básico, más humano. Y esta misma cultura mental, de constructos mentales, de creencias arraigadas, y de defensa de esas creencias, nos hace perder esa parte elemental, humana y consciente. Muchos sólo ven conceptos abstractos, sólo ven figuras y hablan de figuras; Eso es lo preocupante. Los grandes líderes que hemos tenido en la historia dicen que cuando caemos en estas abstracciones y solo vemos cifras, es cuando la humanidad empieza a perderse.

Y sólo somos mentales porque necesitamos abrir esas otras partes multidimensionales que tenemos los humanos, nuestra conciencia, nuestro corazón. Lo que nos ha enseñado la sabiduría antigua. Y que mucha gente ha cerrado su conciencia, su corazón. Esa parte ha quedado cerrada en todos nosotros, porque todos cargamos con experiencias de dolor y tristeza, que nos hacen cerrar el corazón. Pero debemos reabrirlo. Así como enseña Jack Cornfield cuando dice: no debes mirar hacia otro lado, ni dejar que los acontecimientos envenenen tu corazón, no debes mirar hacia otro lado, aunque veas sufrimiento, ya que, si puedes ver el sufrimiento con Compasión entonces estarás por encima de ese sufrimiento. Ya que el corazón humano tiene un gran poder para afrontar el sufrimiento. La compasión es una cualidad que nos hace humanos y fuertes. Compasión es ver el dolor y el sufrimiento y querer aliviarlo, aportando nuestro granito de arena. ¿Y en qué se basa la compasión? En la interconexión. Estamos interconectados, como una red humana. Estamos interconectados de varias maneras; personas, humanos, culturas; Basta con mirar lo que tienes en tu mesa cuando comes y verás la interconexión. Todo ha venido de un lugar diferente; Han participado distintas personas, incluso de otras partes, de otros lugares; Eso llega a tu mesa, hay una energía ahí, un trabajo de esa gente que llega a ti. Por eso estamos profundamente interconectados. Thich Nath Han, el maestro Zen, habla sobre el InterSer; Y ese es el fundamento de nuestras relaciones, nuestra conexión como personas, como culturas, como seres humanos. Lo que nos preguntamos ahora es ¿dónde estamos como humanidad?

Ahora, mirando algunos ejemplos históricos de ética y humanidad en conflictos y guerras, quiero mencionar algunos ejemplos. Uno es Alejandro Magno; el otro es Napoleón Bonaparte; Tenemos opiniones a favor y en contra, como todo en la historia. Pero fíjense que Alejandro Magno, cuando se hizo el asedio de una ciudad griega, cuando fue atacada y bloqueada, pidió expresamente que se respetara la casa del poeta Píndaro y también la casa de otros artistas y personas inocentes, que no fueran atacadas. También se sabe que Napoleón Bonaparte tuvo manifestaciones de ética, de moral y de humanidad con determinadas poblaciones, con determinados lugares, con determinadas personas. La pregunta es si eso está presente ahora en los ataques que vemos ahora. ¿Ha habido compasión y misericordia hacia miles de civiles inocentes atrapados? ¿Hay algo de humanidad en los líderes actuales? ¿Y qué papel juega la tecnología? ¿Nos ha deshumanizado? Ahora que puedes matar gente con Drones.

Ahora bien, volviendo a lo básico, de lo que hablamos son de nuestras cualidades, que nos hacen humanos. La interconexión, la compasión; cosas elementales que nos dan humanidad. Por qué cuando alguien o un grupo de personas sufre, surge la empatía, la compasión, esas cualidades humanas; Es un rasgo nuestro. En la actual situación de destrucción, ¿por qué la gente que está cerca, los países que están cerca, no reaccionan de una manera más básica y humana? En sus discursos dicen mucho pero en sí mismos no hacen nada; No abren sus puertas; sus fronteras y por qué el instinto de protección no está ahí; la base biológica para proteger la vida, especialmente aquellos que son sacrificados sin piedad. ¿El poder del dinero asesinó la conciencia?; ¿El poder del lobby venció a la humanidad?. Cuando vemos fotografías en las redes sociales, vemos a la élite de esos países, de esas sociedades, o a la supuesta élite compartiendo lujosos banquetes con modelos de Instagram, sin preocuparse de lo que sucede muy cerca de ellos. Cuando nos acostumbramos a eso nuestra conciencia se duerme. Y como enseñan los sabios: la práctica sistemática de los vicios colapsa la inteligencia. Ha habido un asesinato de las cualidades humanas, la inteligencia, la conciencia y el espíritu han colapsado.

Ahora bien, estos tiempos son tiempos de los ciudadanos, de las personas, de la humanidad. Ya no es una cuestión de gobiernos, expertos económicos o religiones. Es lo humano; lo que está en peligro es nuestra humanidad. Es una crisis total de la humanidad, ¿será una destrucción de nuestras cualidades humanas? … interconexión, empatía, inteligencia, sabiduría, libertad….

Y finalmente me gustaría mencionar la espiritualidad o la conciencia. Si los mensajes de los grandes avatares que han caminado por esta tierra son ciertos, entonces debemos tener confianza. Confianza y Esperanza a pesar de lo que estamos presenciando en esta era, en estos tiempos, por muy oscuros que parezcan, debe llegar un tiempo de despertar, de despertar a la conciencia y a la acción de la humanidad. Y si sentimos que la conciencia humana existe, entonces esa conciencia está por encima de la angustia, está por encima del miedo, está por encima de la desesperación. Tengamos confianza. Debemos recordar lo que somos, y debemos recuperar la humanidad lo antes posible; Cuanto antes mejor, de lo contrario el futuro que se avecina será terrible y catastrófico.
